Back on the dirt...
Used them this year in 10u rec. and it worked great! Only used on offense. We played 3 games with hand signs and so many would forget what they meant so I got the armbands and no more missed signs. They never forgot what a sign meant and it was just as quick. This is 8,9 and 10 year olds and only 2 play TB. Using them on TB team now as well.

They work great until someone is on the wrong page and that meat ball is thrown right down the middle. They do seem to reduce the amount of confusion generated by a coach on 3rd wildly gesticulating signs to a runner and batter. What was today's indicator???

Curious what the abbreviations are.

I lifted that image from Google. On that specific armband, SL = slider, CB = curveball, etc. We use a single character for pitch type and numeral for specific location, such as S9 is a screwball low and inside. Main point for us no worries about opposing team stealing signs or catcher shielding signals. We can use 2-3 different 3-digit calls for the same pitch, we can change armband tables game to game or mid-game, etc.
