DD 1 moved into her off-campus apartment yesterday. Came back today to drop off empty suitcases. I was nervous about her freshman year last year but less so as a sophomore. My biggest regret was I was out of town almost 9 months her senior year of HS, so I missed most of it. At least with DD 2 I'll be around.

My DS is a senior in college this year. I remember when I met his college rowing coach on a campus visit that I felt comfortable having that coach looking after my son. So far so good.

Yesterday I think I embarrassed DD 1 dropping her off at her apartment for her sophomore year, incoherent stuff about how proud I was of her. Almost lost it. Damn allergies.

YoC - I'm not afraid to call you out directly! Man up, dude :p. This is a big change for all and you can bet that the next four years will go even faster than you can believe. I am finding that the even greater thrill than watching a DD realize her goal of playing collegiate softball is the pride you will have seeing them apply the life lessons and work ethic they largely learned from softball to face challenges and achieve success during life after softball and college!

Enjoy!
