Thanks, she's pretty excited about it. She's worked a little bit with Jen before so we're hopeful that this longer retreat will really have an impact. She did a workout with Morgan Stuart last night and had some fun, learned a couple new drills, etc... All in all it's good stuff.

We played our last tournament for the Summer this past weekend in NC. Although the team struggled, I did get the chance to meet Crystal Brown's daughter "D" since they made the trip to help us out pitching for the weekend. "D" did an absolutely fabulous job from the circle for us and kept us in many a games. She also was credible at 2nd and RF when she was called upon since it was 98 degrees with a heat index between 105-115 degrees with humidity in the 80's and my team was nowhere near used to these types of playing conditions. Unfortunately, the season is now over for our team. This weekend, we start tryouts for the organization on Sunday. I'm looking forward to fielding the new recruits and playing a few Fall ball tournaments.

I read D your post, she said to tell you thank you. If only you was in NC a week later, the weather was nice besides the morning rain storm....even had a nice breeze. DD really enjoyed playing with you guys. She complimented your dd on her ability to call pitches. DD can normally tell about the 3rd inning in the first game if a person what they are doing when calling pitches. If not, she will start shaking off pitches. I don't think dd shook off but maybe 2 pitches the entire tournament. She said she trusted your dd pitch calling ability.
DD team she guest played with ended up finishing in 3rd place. The were playing the Cardinals and was with them 1-1 in the first part of the game. After not getting any good hits off dd, they went to the short game. That team had tons of speed on it. First point scored was off a bunt. Cardinals leadoff runs a 2.88 home to first...which I saw with my own eyes at softball camp. Once on base, she just steals 2nd and 3rd. This is the same team D lost 4-3 on an illegal pitch when her coach yelled stop. She stopped the pitch and runner advanced home...ball game. All she needed was 1 out and they would of been in overtime. My daughter teases the coach about this play.

DD came home for the weekend and it was the first time we had seen her in a month. Put her back on a plane this evening.
