I clearly think it is unethical to pay for performance. She plays the same regardless. But the competition he made clearly started some other issues within the team.
How much money did she make in game #2 and #3?

When my DD sees all of the money being made by the tournament directors, sanctioning bodies, umpires, facilities, and coaches she wants to know why she doesn't get a slice of the pie.
Team spirit wear doesn't sell itself.

Ok, here is a rant.
DD is the #1 pitcher on her MS school team, for whatever reason no one is even close. This is the same pitcher, with the same players, that is #4 on her league team.
Same as VB. She plays the absolute minimum, I do not know how she tolerates it.
