Just sharing this Yaz video for any of you old New England types like me.

I spent many hours in my youth copying this swing and could hit pretty good but my coaches didn't like it. Now it seems like it embodies the characteristics of great hitting technique but just wrapped in an extreme "all in" style.

Lot of folks coach the stride out of young hitters because they say that striding causes your eyes to 'lose elevation', making it harder to track the ball. Always thought that was a load of crap, and so must Yaz. He drops about foot from stance to toe touch because of stride.
