Because of his extreme leap, and re-plant;
it's interesting to see the delay in circle he does when at 3:00,
so that his timing with regard to ball release and front foot plant is in synch...

..which is perfectly legal in the Men's game....

So I will admit to not knowing anything about the Men's game. I knew the leap was legal but is that massive replant really allowed. He's basically driving off twice. Power is added but also a huge increase in effective speed just by leaping twice and releasing so close to the batter, right?

Wouldn't that motion be legal for women if he kept his drag foot in contact with the ground? I thought I saw a couple of WCWS pitchers with a replant I just can't remember which ones.
