In some areas, the ASA, NSA, or USSSA will host a forum or facebook page. The other thing you can use are the ASA brackets for tournaments to find team names. They keep those up even after the tournies and you don't have to be a member to see them.

I just moved to Chicago, and of course softball is still a passion! I was wondering if there are any teams out here that could use a little assistance? Thanks guys

Are you in the city, or one of the suburbs? There's softball all over, but traffic is a nightmare here, so it helps to know where you're located. I'd hate to recommend a program that's 1.5 hours away from you.

Traffic really can be a nightmare.

I remember once, leaving Madison at 3:00 PM to visit friends by U Chicago.

By 5:00 I was at O'Hare

I got to my friends' place about 7:00.

I talked to a coxswain who quit a rowing club, because of a 1.5 hour commute for every practice. He now acts as a backup coxswain for a club in Indianapolis. Less travel time altogether, because they don't expect him for practices.
