I still say no cutter or slider in softball. They get crushed around 13-14 (if the kid has even learned one) and then the pitcher does full movement pitches instead.

It is an old school thing, typically only mens fp, that is dead and gone if it ever had life to begin with.
I don't think things should be done halfway.

There is definitely a cutter in fastpitch softball. Unfortunately IT CANNOT BE THROWN BY ANYONE THAT USES OPEN MECHANICS, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. I know several movement pitches that the open mechanics will not allow because of an extended release point or a follow through that cannot be done with those mechanics.

Your staement is quite brash, bold and not correct.

Think before you type and that will help.
