When stealing a base should the runner peak to see what catcher/ball is doing?
On a hit n run should the run peak to see where/if the ball was hit?
Any other situations when a runner should look for the ball?

I like the runner/ batter peeking.

About the only time that they shouldn’t peek is if the runner is on 2nd and the ball is hit to the right side of the field, just watch the 3rd base coach.

No on a straight steal you don't peak, you just go.

Yes, absolutely. It is the hitter's job to make contact. The runner is going but not with the direct intention of stealing so they need awareness of the ball.

I think most situations outside of a straight steal the runner should be looking for the ball.
