This must be happening in almost every organization, because it sounds familiar to me.

you are probably right and it's a big reason why some clubs just can't get over the hump to become big organization IMO because they just are too selfish.....or too lazy to go recruit girls from other teams because they have a greater knowledge of players within a club and it's just less work .....but I will say it doesn't happen in ours without consequence....our director won't put up with that at all....

Don't forget there might be some parents out there who are trophy hunters too. They might care more about their daughter being on a winning team rather than if she played or not. You are better off without those girls if the parents fall into this category.
