While there are benefits of using a Zone In, there are a couple of downsides. They require a full size pitching lane and they emphasize pitch location vs. mechanics. For indoor winter workouts I like to focus on mechanics, and by throwing into a net or tarp 20' away it allows the pitcher to focus on her mechanics and not be concerned with where the pitch ends up. For workouts with a full pitching lane I prefer "bucket time" although if I take another drop ball off my shin I may change my mind....

Jugs just came out with a pitching net/radar gun combo that looks awesome. It's expensive ($549) but the build quality and performance are impressive. Saw it at Diamond 9 and immediately started figuring out what I'd have to sell to afford it.
