Hi folks,
My DD is 10 yrs old and I am looking for a pitching coach in Indiana that has the same philosophy as the people on this site. I have been to 2 coaches and they have no clue about internal rotation and what not. Does anyone know of someone in Indiana that teaches the foundations of Hillhouse and others?

Thanks
DJ

Dont be surprised if 96% of the instructors have never heard it called internal rotation. If they do not frequent this board, they probably never heard of it.

Hello my name is John Feld, I coach pitching in southern Indiana. I not only know the I/R method but teach like Hillhouse and Doug Gillis from Michigan.

I teach the linear hip drive and throwing across the body for power. Some of the girls I coach are the best rise ballers in the State. Been doing this for 25 years now and only will take serious students.

There is a girl that comes from Evansville every other week. She will be going to Kastle HS this fall. Kastle HS won the state championship back 10 years ago with girl name Beth Harmon who now is coach of Penn HS up north
Beth took lessons from me when I was coaching at CE for one whole winter then went on to win. Now the coach, Lockyear wants to win again so he is sending me his best student, Sidney.

If u interested call me at 317 5023139

Now how are you doing Hal?
Nice of you to recommend me along with some of the others. Now that you have said it none of these coaches know what IR is and from what I see none teach it around here. Along with you I have pitched for 10 years back in the 60's and 70's.

Like my daughter always says why would anyone go to an instructor that has never played the game.
My granddaughter does not play softball but instead does dance so Becky my daughter takes her to dance and she says "dad I would never take her to a dance instructor that has never danced".

When I teach I still pitch and what I feel I teach by visual. I am a visual instructor what uses the Hanson method. I do not teach 'Hello Elbow" I don't know how you teach Hal but from the way you talk you do great.

He is banned and you are posting on a two year old post. And what are you taking about any way

And Hillhouse doesnt like people using his name to validate or profit by using his name. You don't seem to bright. Yea I'd hire you! Lol. All that fancy hip talk that only you can teach riiiight. Sounds like hips closing to me or hip thrust... nothing new

The reason I take this attitude is this is so typical of the garbage teachings in IN, Ky... the guy thinks he's the greatest because he copied Hillhouse or Gillis and has some great thing with his new hip thrust that no one one else does.... Its just annoying and sad.

The explanation of throwing across the body and the visual explanation is funny beyond belief. If you can understand it that is.

John Feld is a good pitching coach and working with my daugher the last couple of years. We had a lesson Wednesday night, and even had a fun discussion on "hello elbow". He does teach IR and also a lot other concepts. His advantage is that he can still demonstrate the pitches he's teaching and effectively uses video review to help the girls out.
