So I coach and my daughter is on the team we are in the middle school phase were you play all the sports to play and learn. Now we are entering the 8th grade and the coach is pushing cross country running on my daughter. I personally do not think its a good idea we don't need the long distance on a softball field and I think she is already too skinny and I think it will keep her that way while I'm trying to put some muscle on her. What are other coaches opinion on cross country for a softball player?
