Missing DD Playing on the Field

DD was pitching the most for her Team and leading off until she got hurt. I wasn’t too worried about it because I know they have players to take her place and so far so good.

Same with fielding, they have players that can replace her on the field. What happened, which I did not think of, is that it started a domino effect on the field. DD’s been replaced no problem but it left a hole somewhere else on the field were the other players used to be.

I worry about pitching and hitting all the time and fielding is where the Team is going to miss her. I just found that interesting. We will figure it out.

Our SS tore a ligament in gym class and is out for at least 2 weeks, maybe for the rest of the season. We experienced the same thing--the pitchers who often platooned at second could come over and play short, but there was a domino effect. Too many players out of position, too many errors. (She has a big bat and we missed that too.)
