I'm glad they put him away for a long time - now let's have some more trials for the parents. They should be ashamed of themselves. You see it all the time. Parents who are so anxious to have time to themselves that they will let there kids go anywhere with any one just so they can act like kids themselves. You had kids, now you are a parent, now your life is different - you watch them, you pay attention to what they are doing, you don't leave them alone with people you haven't known for a LONG time and trust completely. Yeah my kids have missed out on some sleepovers at homes where I didn't know the parents very well, I have sat on the sidelines for MANY a practice or in a chair at a function when I was the only parent there. But guess what . . . my kids are not targeted, because we are around, and we pay attention and we don't trust many people with our kids. Protect your kids!! That is the job you signed up for.

The moral of this story is, don't let the pursuit of a dream cloud your sense or your judgment.

On a side note. Did you hear about the mom that was to close in the pit at the brad paisley concert? She got kicked out for child endangerment

The signs with Hall seem pretty obvious in retrospect but some parents get blinders on I guess when they see their kid has a chance at the D1 scholarship and this ex-big league ball player is telling them he can get her there.

Sometimes the signs aren't that obvious though. I had a friend in college who seemed like a real nice guy and I never would have suspected him of becoming a pedophile. But a few years ago I heard from a mutual friend that he was on trial and later learned he's serving 25 years for child molestation and pornography. His victims were his nephews and a cousin though there could have been others. Sometimes you just can't tell.
