It is always crazy...it is such an awkward age, they said that one of the kids on Pennsylvania team was 5ft 3in last season and did not have a strong enough arm to pitch...fast forward this season the kid is 5ft 10in 160lbs and dominating (but without a second pitch might struggle in the end of the tournament).

You just look at that info they put up and it is just hard to imagine; you get 3 or 4 kids that are over 5ft 8in and 140+lbs and then the rest of the team is 5ft and 90lbs. It is almost comical when the coaches and umpires are all looking up to a kid playing 12U. As we all know though by the time they hit their junior and senior year in high school if they have not kept up with their skills their size advantage goes away and they come crashing down to earth.

On a completely different note I think that SC (the team this kid who hit the HR plays for) is one of the few teams that did not completely cave to Easton...all the kids get a complete set of gear from Easton, granted none of the kids changed gloves because you can't break in a glove overnight and most ball players love their glove, but almost every kid is swinging new Easton bats, think this kid was swinging Louisville slugger and a couple others swung Demarini's.
