I saw her hitting video. She looks athletic. And if her mindset is as you indicated - geeze Louise!- sign me up. You just need to find a coach that has a clue and is willing to coach her up.
I remember my dd had a HS coach in a different sport who treated my dd pretty poorly. I was very upset with this coach and it was hard to not verbally blast her. My dd would kill me in my sleep if I did, so I kept it to myself (I joke) But after her Junior season I asked her if she would play volleyball her senior year and she said of course, I explained that I know she doesn't like how the coach treats her and I would understand if she decided that some free time her senior year might be nice (and you can work on your pitching all winter) She looked at me and said, "I won't let someone push me from doing something I like to do, so I won't quit because of her"
One of the proudest moment's of my life. I think your dd is having one of those same moments.
My question to the OP is how did your DD take your "Executive Decision"?

She was mad...She felt like if she didn't play it was because she wasn't good enough to play and she felt that she could work hard enough to earn playing time. She isn't as upset now but still doesn't want to play travel ball until after rec ball is over. She says she just want to have fun and believes if she goes to another team, she will just sit the bench and won't play and sitting all tournament is not fun.
My daughter will be going to The Packaged Deal in two weeks to work on pitching, batting and infield/outfield. I figure since she believes she needs improvement to earn playing time, then finding her clinics and asking questions will help her reach her goal.
It would be great if we could find a team that is willing to work with raw talent instead of wanting the already polished player. The main reason we went to a brand new team that just started.
