How does height impact ability to reach the outside pitch and needed bat size

For most youth, severe bat drag would be the primary cause of the lack of ability to hit outside pitches. The rear forearm doesnt get extended from the torso until the ball is already gone. And with certain forms of bat drag, the rear forearm usually extends to the pitcher, not to the plate/ball.

99% of kids that I see here and elsewhere have bat drag. (bat drag is where the back elbow gets ahead of the hands during the swing forward)
