I've personally seen a 12yo hit over a 225'. Not my kid.

On a 200'............

First DD HR was in 7th grade, she was 12.

So I'd guess there have been some 11's, 10 would be pushing it.

Seen 11YO go yard on 200' field last year and it was a no-doubt goner from the moment it left her bat.

Two years ago a had a 10 YO (now on my 12u team) hit a 200' fence on the fly twice in the same game and three times that season. She's still yet to go yard but a heck of an athlete.

fence

My daughter hit 3 over a 200 ft fence last season at age 12. She also had her bat inspected after each one by the umpire. I heard that an 11 year old did at one of the tournaments also.

I had one bite me in 14u. The DD that hit over the 225'. We were at a State tourney in MS, the 12u fields backed up to the 14u fields and had a concrete walkway between. That girl hit over the 225, bounce on the walkway and over our 14u fence. ( it was a smash ) I sent a few of my girls to see what's up. She was a second year 12, we were a first year 14. Long story short, she played for us during our 2nd year 14. She fell off a horse a month before TB. Messed her shoulder up, not only never went yard again ( for us ) but only hit .230 for our season.

She is better now and back to full health. I don't know if she has gone yard again like the 225, they live a couple hours away and play for their local TB now.

My step-DD was going yard at 9u, but I'm pretty sure she's an alien. She was also a dead-on catcher. Sadly, she quit playing when she was 16 and moved out of her mom's house. Her mom pushed too hard and burned her out. *Sigh* She was a phenomenal player and will freely admit that she misses it every day.

DD's first year 12U team added a late extra tournament this fall and picked up a couple of the organization's second year 12U players to fill in for some of the girls who had made other plans. The biggest of those 12 year olds smashed one way over a 225'. I haven't seen any of the first year 12U girls go yard yet, but there are a few who probably could if they really get ahold of one. (Mine's probably included; I'm trying to wait patiently for the day, LOL.)

My 14U team had 11. I have one kid at 12 that uses an RT that can hit 225 plus. Tim-Bouldersdad has a dd that could really pound the ball at a young age.

Championship game one of my 12U kids hit one 25' past a 200' fence. An 11U hit one off me in BP over 200' fence.
