Hey all -
10 year old daughter hits pretty well based on her strength at her age and her bat path. She goes to a reputable hitting coach weekly and he has gotten her swing into pretty good shape. The on area that he continues to need her to work on is getting her back leg activated. Often her leg either just turns or doesn't move. During the lesson it improves and her power is significantly improved but then she will usually revert back at some point to just need to be reminded again and again.
Are there any drills that any of you use to help with this part of the swing? She gets away with not doing it in our Little League games usually because of strength, swing and just the lack of talent in the outfield to make plays on her hits but obviously that is not where our longer term goals lie.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
