Chris, I never said she wasn't using her core - I said she wasn't connecting her core/torso to her hands. She is opening her front leg with her front leg and dropping her hands using her arms.
It is basically a sequence issue. Also, she lifting out her hips as she starts movement instead of pulling back into her hips more (and I don't mean by spinning). This is another visual marker to show her legs are not connected to her core.
So, what would I say? The same thing I always say. Keep pulling back into the hips even as your front leg starts to open and pull back the hands as this happens. This is not a complicated process - but it is hard to (re)train your body/mind to adapt to this. Otherwise we would have a boat load of hitters that exhibit a really good swing sequence.
