Gal's been working hard the past year on her swing (tons of tee and cage time). Had a hard time getting her bat around, still struggles some with sweeping as I call it (or locking early). Coaches have been a big help the past few months. I think this is her best one I have captured. She's starting to get more consistent, but wouldn't mind some experienced trained eyes to look and provide feedback.

Sorry to say...DD isn't 'almost there'. There's a lot of work ahead of her.
She does seem much more aggressive against live pitching which is great some girl become more afraid.
While the pitch isn't as low it does appear she keeps her hands above the ball and is not swings completely flat.
Biggest thing is to make sure she gets her timing down so she is in the right position at toe touch/heel plant. She starts her forward component of the swing (back half and hands beginning forward) waaay too soon. At toe touch she should be coiled with hips and back with hands this should when she is most stretched her front is forward but her back half is still back. I grabbed a couple lefties this time, even though in terms of style these swings are really different look at how similar they are at this position...it is simply one of the MUST things in the swing however you get here to this position you have to be here at this moment in the swing or you can't get right after this.
But not at toe touch/heel plant and that is the issue. If you have heard "stay back" this is what people mean as her front foot comes forward her hips which don't currently coil well if at all and hands should NOT be going forward yet they need to wait. Her old position, first swing in this thread, is closer to Griffey's position. Her new swing is the hands getting ahead of the body.
