Geez, we were required to stay at a tourney (grease the palms) approved hotel. Our DblTree was 154. per nite. Nice enough but pricey. I guess it is the LA area but we probably could of paid the penalty and done better.

Hotel must haves....gotta have breakfast buffet, free wifi, a pool for the kids, and a place to have "parent meetings."
Bates Motel for my team.
In San Diego, I found those "amenities" for $109/night. Clean sheets were not included.

They're aren't a lot of benefits to living in the southeast imo, but cost of living is certainly one of the big ones.
Agree completely.
I usually tend to coach a little smarter after I stay at a Holiday Inn Express....
