Now that's gonna be one tough gal, and looks like she really enjoys it. I took Aikido back in my teens, and wish we had the widespread MMA events like they do now. I'd liked to have tried full contact tournaments, while my body was young enough to absorb the punishment. Haha
TeamM, My girls are huge MMA fans and we've watched it with them for years now and we've contemplated over the years on whether or not to enroll them in some form of martial arts. Mostly for self defense, self discipline and confidence. I showed my oldest your video and she loved the takedown.
My girls were 6 & 7 years old and I hear from the kitchen, "Hold still...please!". I peek around the corner and I see my oldest with her arms wrapped around the back of her youngest sisters neck (who is fighting to break free) trying to knee her. I watch the struggle for a few minutes before making them call a truce. LOL
Softball mom, that is funny. She has two little brothers that she trains with in her in her room. They have actually got better about playing aggressively with each other now, because the instructor preaches to always respect and take care Of your training partner. So they know how far to take it.
Coach bob, it really has. Most of her training partners are bigger and stronger but if you use good technique with bjj you can have success .which carries over to other things
My daughter (15 now) started doing BJJ 2 years ago.
I remember thinking after her first tournament... On the day she was born, alot of things went through my head, but the one thing I never imagined I'd ever see myself doing was slamming my fist on a mat yelling "Take the Arm! Take the Arm!"
