Bunted ball in fair territory contacts the bat on the ground in fair territory

NFHS Rules - Rule 7-4-13 says this is dead ball, batter out, all runners return to original base. Umpire said a non-moving bat is part of the field of play. In addition., it is possible with the backspin that this ball could have rolled foul if not for the bat.

Once the bat is stationary on the field it becomes part of the field.

And the rule you posted says if the bat hits the ball, your post States the ball hit the bat.
