Doesn't look good. I can't see wrestling being held out of the Olympics, it's been part of the games since ancient Greece.

This is unbelievable. Unfortunately, an on the brighter side, it opens up the door for softball (and baseball, karate, squash, roller sports, sport climbing, wakeboarding and wushu) to voted on to take the vacant opening.

But now wrestling gets added to the list of sports softball/baseball is competing with the get the last spot in the games. I don't see softball/baseball beating out wrestling.

It came down to cutting judo or wrestling and they cut wrestling. They switched the rules in judo to talk away leg takedowns in the past to get some separation between the two.

Then let's boycott the Olympics by not watching them. If enough of us across the country do it, maybe our voices will be heard. Then again...more than likely not.

I still don't understand why they are limiting sports. ESPECIALLY ones that don't require speciality built stadiums. (which has always been softball/baseball's weakness)

Stuff like judo, karate, wrestling, weight lifting and so on can all be done in the same place. Host cities don't need to build lots of halls for them.

Compared to what is wasted on other parts of the Olympics, temporarily refitted a stadium for softball isn't that difficult or expensive.
