My daughter just turned seven. She is 48" tall and 60lbs. I was looking at a mizuno avalanche 29/16&1/2 ounces. Is this to long if so what would y'all suggest. Looking to stay under 75 dollars. Thanks for the help

The 12.5 drop is probably more than most hitters on this board use but it probably makes sense for your DD to get the extra length. 29 seems a little bit long, when I looked the bat up I saw it in 28. I think I would feel better starting with that length.

If you want to set her up for a little while and play a little bit try this offer:

When my daughter was that size, I had her use a 28" -13 aluminum bat.
28" -11.5-12.5 is a good length/weight for that height unless she is strong with quick hands.

My 8YO daughter is very similar size and has handled a 29"/17oz bat very well for some time now. However, she plays in a coach pitch league, in a kid pitch league I might consider something smaller.

DD at that size used a 30/17 but she was very strong for her age. I don't know how your DD is built but I would recommend the Demarini Bustos -13. It has very good pop because the handle has a lot of flex for an aluminum bat and is relatively inexpensive.
