I haven't swung a torq, but there was a good discussion earlier to remove the rotating grip if you didn't like it. Replace with a regular one. Boom, regular mako, which is a great bat. And with the deals going on, a great buy.

Back on the dirt...
Just opened my DD's Thursday and she has put about 45 swings on it. Says its heavy to her. It does weigh more than any of the others we have. Feels pretty balanced though.

She hits best with her cf5 30-11 so it's probably 3.5-4oz heavier over all.

Cf5 30" -11 19.1 oz 542g
Cf5 31" -10 20.9 oz 589g
Xeno plus 31-11 21.6oz 612 grams
freak black 31-10 20.8 oz 589 grams
Mako Torq 31-10 23.5 oz 665 grams

I put some swings on it too and it seems to have good pop. Built for a strong hitter IMO. DD is not yet ready for it. Just turned 10, 4'7" 80#

The Mako's are on sale for $129.00 at Softball.com. It's the same bat as the torq I believe minus the gimmicky handle.
