We have been trying to get rid of my daughters glove slap for about 3 months now. Most times now she doesn't slap but every now and then it comes back. What has worked for other people to get rid of glove slap?

Is a glove slap an absolute no-no? Aren't there bigger fish to fry in pitching mechanics? A clip of it would help.
Mine does it too. We've tried to get her to stop but we do have much bigger fish to fry right now. We're focusing on brush interference at the moment since her bad mechanics in that area are giving her tennis elbow. Following though.
Tell him this girl slaps her thigh...then tell him he needs to log on and say hi once in a while

there are some differences between what the big boys teach. I see daylight between what Hillhouse, Rick, Rich, Java, BM teach. But the common points are far more numerous. These common points are what has made them all tops in their craft. Glove slap/swim/backswing/brush amount are some of these daylight areas. since this board has folks that kind of look to all of them, folks that are direct students, folks that are sort of apprentices to some of them, you will get mixed feedback on these points. I for one am encouraging a glove slap in my DD, but for a different reason.
My point is...yes there is a point...saying "my dds coach is a Rich Balswick, and Rich Balswick says..." (Like the old EF Hutton commercials) Is OK, it lets people know that the glove slap instruction is founded in a reason and not just another case of a random PC working on something just because they don't like it. And it will temper the feedback you get.
