First thing is sequencing.

This picture is her at toe touch. She should be coiling back or at the very least holding back but you can see she is already begun her swing (not even just leaking forward but fully engaging)

Her second swing does look a little better. I'm not an expert but it does look like she drops her hands a lot but that could be pitch location so its hard to tell.

P.S...I was actually constructing my post before I saw the one above maybe we are on to something ;)

Thanks work=win. I'll work on s n f with her. Do you think her bat position should be at a different position

Vino,
I'm guessing you mean in the beginning? She could load her hands a little better at stride, Right before launch IMO. Rocking the U is what they call it . I believe it should be done first in the sequence and should not be over cooked. Just enough to feel strong. You should get the feel out of the snf drill.

So Cal
Sequence - get the parts moving in the right direction at the right time. Right now, she's working in an all-back/all-forward pattern, which is not ideal.

What we want to see is stretch across the body, and the creation of tension.

Notice the direction of movement and timing of the hands and the front foot. The hands are loading up and back AT THE SAME TIME as the stride goes forward. Understanding/feeling the movement in opposite directions is a critical first step to improving a hitter's sequence.

My DD was pretty similar to this...Using post stride start to launch type drill put her in the correct position...Then the Feet together step and hit drill gave her the 'feeling' of the stretch...
