Rock the U slowly, with a normal running start on the bottom half. Don't poke the elbow, don't hide the hands, you may need to use them... LOL

Regarding hiding the hands. I know a lot of MLB players do not. I have found (so far in coaching) that it has been beneficial to girls. They may not have the strength in the forearms to pull off the move Cabrera does in that clip. They seem to connect a little better with a tighter assist in getting the barrel started from the upper torso. thoughts/

Not here.
I understand and SB and I had the same discussion. Have you ever bow hunted?

No I haven't nor my DD. So, maybe that is the reason that cue doesn't work for me. Maybe why I picture the movement straight back. Like I said that cue maybe correct and maybe correct for you. Pull the bow back not a cue I can use for the DD.

howser, admittedly I have never coached a young lady(s). What are the typical bat sizes per age groups?

I don't want to poo poo this, but I think you all may be selling the gals short. IMO, you are asking them to give more effort by loading the hands back/behind.

Let's take a test. Can anyone find the point where Miggy creates a slight forward press of the top hand at the top of the "Rock"?

How about Longo?

Isn't the REAL truth refreshing?

It is worth logging on each day just to see what your "Avatar of the Day" will be.

Many use bats in my opinion too lite. I typically see a good 13 - 14 year old swinging a 32/22 or 33/23. Some an ounce more at 33/24. I had my most recent group of 12 y/o swinging mostly 33" bats at 24 oz which is big compared to what most are using.

Looking right up through high school into college most prefer a -10, some a -9 a few stronger -8 and lengths of 32 up to but not that often 34.

I would agree that they may be too light.
