Has anyone had any experience with the Bownet Bigmouth look-a-like hitting nets? I see them on eBay and they look very similar to Bownets, but half the cost.

No but the Bownet went on sale last year around Thanksgiving. You might want to wait a few weeks and see if they go on sale again.

($99 with shipping on Dec. 2nd)

Dicks sporting goods sells a green and black net that is very similar to a Bownet at a reduced price. I know someone that bought one and they were happy with it. Check their website, I think they are on there.

I have one of the Dick's nets (brand name is Primed). It's been great. Mine has been getting use 3-4 times per week with my DD's 10U team, and we have had no issues.

Our TB coach got two of these at the beginning of the summer. The first one broke during the second practice, the second one broke two weeks later. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $$$s and get a bownet.

How/where did they break? Three different people on my DD's team have the Primed net, and they get used 3-4 times per week. Two have been in use for over 6 months, and the HC has had his for about a year. All are still working fine.

I have a Bownet and Primed. Both are comparable with respect to ease of assembly and durability. Would recommend either one.
