    In fastpitch 2nd base would cover the first base bag should 1B have to go in the hole to field a ball, since 2B should already be moving to her left towards first anyway. With 60 foot bases the pitcher does not have the time to get to first to cover.

    Your community rec league. Likes? Dislikes? What would you change?

    In our rec league a few years ago we took a fall weekend and hit up the soccer parents during their kids' soccer games with fliers and inviting them to try softball in the spring. We had our best enrollment season ever in the 10u and 8u divisions because of it.
