    Say sorry to the pitcher....what?

As a pitcher's dad I see how much work my dd puts in outside of practice. Pitching is like playing another sport with the time commitment. Sure it's frustrating when errors are made, but if the fielder's put in as much time practicing fielding as my dd does practicing pitching I wouldn't care...

    2018 Easton Ghost

My daughter was pitching to her high school team and this little slapper slapped one off the fence with the team demo ghost. That sold my daughter.

    2018 Easton Ghost

My daughter says this bat is so hot. Her high school team currently has a Ghost as a demo. My daughter has been a strict Xeno user for the past 5 years and wants a Ghost so bad! She has '04, '05 Rockettechs, Xeno's from '12 on, and LXT's from '15 and '16. She says this new Ghost is better...

    Growth spurts

My 13 year old dd grew 6 inches in about 8 months. She couldn't even pitch the ball to home plate after being able to pitch 54-56. This lasted about a year. she could "K" the ball about 50mph, but get the rest of her body involved and it wouldn't be anywhere near the plate. Very frustrating...

    PGF Premier or ASA Nationals

My daughter's team won a PGF premier birth this weekend. We are also doing Colorado and Atlanta. My question is...is it worth it to fly to Cali and spend the money for the PGF nationals or since most of the team is within driving distance of Virginia, do the ASA nationals. Are there that many...

    I/R Pitcher In Southern Ontario

Doug Gillis or anyone of the instructors that work with him. Look up Gillis fastpitch online for contact info. My daughter takes lessons in Michigan and we know several girls from the Windsor area that come over every week for lessons.

    Tall Pitcher Bias?

That's pretty funny stuff ."Change a lightbulb". My 14 year old 6'2" daughter gets great comments like that everyday at school. Good for her self esteem. If her height in anyway advantages her over a girl that is average height she absolutely deserves it. You can't teach size. She works harder...

    How do you stay warm?

Funny! I won't sit in that either, but my wife will not care as long as she's warm!

    How do you stay warm?

My wife is forever freezing at tournaments. She saw this at a tournament in St. Louis. Talked to a friend of the inventor and it's supposed be up to 30 degrees warmer inside. Ordered one for my wife for Christmas. This keeps the cold rain off her too.Under the Weather | Weather protection...

    Growth spurts and Pitching

I will try to post some video soon. 57 was accurate by my pocket radar and the coaches pocket radar. He even had her at 59. She now does pitch at 40 or so. We are baffled. She lifts weights and does more of a crossfit type workout. This has gone on now for about 3 months or so. It's really...

    Growth spurts and Pitching

I'm looking for some advice and I know posting some video is the only real way to help. My daughter turned 14 a couple months ago. Last fall winter and spring she threw 57mph gunned by the team she was trying out for. Just before turning 14 she grew and now only hits about 40mph with no...

    LXT users

Daughter got hers from CoreSoftball for a great deal and loves it! She has put away her 2005 Rockettech and solely uses this bat. She won't even try her Rockettech now. She has the 2012 and 2013 Xeno's, 2004 and 2005 Rockettechs, Rude American Bat Company's MOAB, and the 2015 LXT does outperform...

    fall sports

My 6'2" 14 year old freshman daughter has given up volleyball and basketball to solely focus on softball. We don't play until the spring however all the conditioning classes, hitting and pitching take all her time. Not to mention the homework. She has recently doubled the amount of swings she...

OT: LLWS coach speaks to his team

That guy is awesome! I want my daughter to play for someone like him!!!

    First base mitt

My daughter has the Worth Liberty FPX Series Mitt also plays 14u and has used it the last three years. Loves it at first base. Our catcher last year has the same first baseman's mitt and uses it behind the plate. Holds up great!

    First baseman's mitt or not

I would highly suggest a first baseman's mitt. My daughter uses one and really likes it. Why would they allow a different glove style for first base only if it wasn't beneficial. I think there is a big advantage using a mitt. It helps with the pickoff attempts from the catcher and all the...

What to do with injured player

Personally, I think the player should attend all practices and team events. She can always do one arm swings, one hand insider bat and pick up balls for her teammates. She is part of the team and she would be able to bond more. I know when my dd broke her pitching thumb she came to every...

    scoring

I would score it a K with an E-2 if the batter made it to first base. If the catcher gets the passed ball and makes the out at first I would just score it a K.

Tater Grip - Anyone heard of these or use them??

My daughter uses one and loves it. I personally think it lasts a lot longer than tape.

    Coldweather & Composites

My dd uses a rocketech and xeno. I have no problem with whatever she chooses to use when its cold or in the cage. If it breaks send it back. If I pay $300 for a bat, she is going to get some use out of it because next year I'll shell out another $300.
