tournaments in the Horseheads/Elmira New York area
I've tried softballtournaments.com and NY's asa site to find tourneys this summer in this area of New York...if they're listed..I'm not seeing them. Does anyone know of other websites to try?- fastpitchdad8

hitting oppo...
Hey everyone we've been doing tee work setting the tee under a portable home plate so the vertical part of the tee is on the outside back corner of the plate (just off corner and deep..hope that makes sense). anyway most of our team does really well...line drives to right center and hard...- fastpitchdad8

spraying substance on bats?
Buddy of mine was at a 12u tourney yesterday. Said before the championship game the opposing coach was spraying something on the barrel of the girls bats, then took the bottle to his car when he was done. Anyone have a clue what it may have been? Just curious..never heard of that before- fastpitchdad8

rosin bags in ASA?
Watched so much NCAA ball this weekend I don't remember which game but both pitchers were going to the rosin bag every pitch. I believe CT was one of them. Got me thinking..I don't remember ever seeing one in use at an ASA tournament. Are they legal in ASA?- fastpitchdad8

"skipping" off the rubber
Unfortunately I don't have the technology to post video on the site. :sigh: my DD has developed a habit of "skipping" off the rubber; her right foot ( she's right handed) leaves the ground and lands about 2 feet ahead of the rubber. need opinions on the Catalyst
The area we live in does'nt have anywhere that we can test new bats before buying. My DD used a composite Vendetta 30-18 last year and it's time for a new bat. Shes 5-2 90 lbs. Just turned 12 recently. Can anyone with any experience with the catalyst give me any good/bad thoughts on this bat ...- fastpitchdad8
