Who is this Mr. "big bad" Right? At what point does the forearm and hand rotate toward the center of the body and where is the palm down and back which by the way is the definition of IR/pronation. You are entitled to your opinion but not your own definition. That has been determined by those a...

So, the screwball is to "make the batter think an outside pitch is coming". First time I've heard this. I tell my students to open their stride (stride to the left of center) for an entirely different reason.

How can you tell when the ball has traveled through the strike zone from behind the pitcher? Just curious how you made that determination. I believe if you look closely, the catchers' mitt is not even open when the tracer stops and then the mitt opens.

BM, it is apparent I will not convince you and you will not convince me. I'm ready to move on if you are, but I will respond to any future post directed towards me. The choice is yours whether you wish to continue.

FFS, the post #23 & 24 are not good screwball mechanics and both pitchers are pitching illegal.

Why don't you extend the tracer so we can see the catcher framing the pitch?

    Screwball Video

Where is the IR? I don't see the forearm and the wrist rotating towards the center of the body. Shouldn't IR have the palm facing down or back? I see palm up and forward. Or does the defintion of IR not apply when throwing a screwball? If I, the parent, the catcher, the ump, the coach and...

I agree she is tipping the pitch if she only slides the foot on the screw.

Why did you stop the tracer? The ball is inside the left knee when the tracer stops but the ball ends up well on the outside of the left knee of the catcher in a short distance.

I agree there is no movement because you stopped the video when the ball is halfway to the plate.

    IR question,...pretty please? :-)

I'm not the one that needs help. You are the one that sees what you want to see. I believe the still photo @ 3:04 on the "Stacey Nelson Pitching" video shows more of what happens at release than a blurred video.

    IR question,...pretty please? :-)

No, I see the arm coming into the release the angle of her stride and then away from the center of the body. At what point does the IR happen you mention occur? The forearm and hand would have to rotate to the center of the body for IR or is the definition or IR and pronation wrong. The follow...

    IR question,...pretty please? :-)

BM, I am ready to move on but you keep saying things that I said in my post that are not my words. I made a simple statement that ER and supination is used when throwing the screwball when someone asked about the SB. You said that you didn't have time to view the video "Stacey Nelson Pitching"on...

    IR question,...pretty please? :-)

Free Medical Dictionary defines external rotation "turning outwardly or away from the midline of the body".

    IR question,...pretty please? :-)

This girl is throwing a nice flip change and she is pronating @ 9:00. I thought we were discussing a screwball and I did use supination as well as ER in my initial post on this thread.
