    Breaking in Catcher's Mitt

When breaking in a girls fastpitch catchers mitt, do you recommend putting 1 or 2 (12") balls in the pocket overnight. One in the webbing and one in the palm. of course 2 balls would form a bigger/deeper pocket, but would this cause problems getting the ball out of the glove for the transition...

    Vinci Catcher's Mitts

I just noticed that the Vinci Catcher's Mitts are mitten style as opposed to finger style. Can anybody comment on this. I would like to have my DD try one on before buying. She is so used to the finger style I am worried she may not like the mitten style, of course it would help if we could try...

    catchers helmets

hello, I'm looking for a new catcher's helmet for my 12 year old DD. Right now i'm leaning towards the Easton Mako, it looks like that helmet has holes right above the eyes to see popups better. Any suggestions. Price is not important, She does fit into women's sizes as well. Thanks

    Breaking in a Catcher's Mitt

I have heard using shaving cream is a good way to break in a new catcher's mitt. I have been told using oil is not a good option because it's makes the mitt heavier (makes sense to me since oil is heavy). Also, overnight, would you suggest using (2) 12" balls in the mitt before wrapping it up or...

    girls catchers mitt advice

My daughter is 11 and moving up to the 12U level this year. She currently has a 34" Mizuno GXS92DRG (black w/neon green trim) and she handles it beautifully. She was just recruited for a 12U elite team in NH. She is very tall for her age. At tryouts she said her hand hurt because the pitchers...
