    High School Ball

    Illinois we start feb 27th , first game march 18th. DD school is small private school but state multiplier we play 3A. Tough for us to compete as it's an academic focus school. First yr we will field 9 travel players. Won 5 games 2 years ago but last yr we won 15....looking brighter..

    My 10u team is struggling a bit on being good teammates. My assistant coaches want to name team captains. Good idea? Just seems like a train wreck waiting to happen.

    At What Point Do You Approach the Coach?

    I coach a 10U team also. I can say I have 6 kids that could pitch but 3 practice and will see their pitching coaches, 1 just started pitching and seeing a coach and 2 others will only practice at our practices. I ask them to work at home but...they don't. I try to throw those 2 for batting...

    High School Politics

    Right now our high school starts a freshman at c, ss, lf and rf. Sophomores at 1b, 2b and 3b. Jr at p and cf. Sr are hurt or struggling. Coach is playing her best 9. If they want a chance to win...the coaches are doing the right thing in trying to win.

    Another young pitcher hurt by a ball

    My 9u team must wear a mask. Team rule, I don't care what position they play. When they receive more experience I will leave it up to parents when the girl is in the outfield. Pitchers, 3b and 1b must wear a mask on my team.

    How do your players address you

    My team calls me coach my first name. My daughter calls me coach fn....when we step out of the car at the field or practice facility I'm coach. When we get back to the car I'm dad.

    Very happy with our travel team and coach. He has coached my daughter 4 out of 6 yrs in tb. She's a better overall player.

    Aurora Central Catholic loses softball player in traffic accident

    I'm from this area and new 3 kids, my wife taught 2 of the boys in 1st grade. The fog rolled in and visibility was terrible. I was driving home from my youngest practice and couldn't see more than 5ft in front of me. Very sad.

    HELP!!!! 10U Infield positioning and Batting Lineup

    If I have a stud pitcher at 10u, the right side of my infield will be my best fielders. You will have strikeouts or grounders to the right side. I would really work on my 3rd best to play 3rd to charge for bunts.
