DD having trouble pulling the triger
The first thing I would tell her is that she should know and understand the situation before she gets into the box. If the pitcher has just walked the previous batter on 4 pitches, then you want her to have the mentality that she currently has to take a pitch until the pitcher throws a strike...- Ravenstown

fpCoach, she is a 2000 birth year, 2nd year 12U. She didn't get to pitch last year for her team (3 whole innings). They pitched all 2nd year 12U players who threw harder and were more consistent. The last real opportunity she had to pitch live in games was at 10U and she didn't get much time...- Ravenstown

Guys, thanks for all the input. I see a lot of the same things that you do in regards to her foot dragging and the need for her to get up on her toe. This anchor foot has been an issue since the beginning of time for her and hopefully one day the light bulb goes off and we can resolve it once...- Ravenstown

One last note, she isn't using the make-shift rubber because it slides when she pushes off. DD and I also know that she does tend to stop her hand on her release/follow through and we are working on that.- Ravenstown

Looking for advice to improve 10 Year Old Pitcher
Thanks for the responses so far. They are really constructive and definitely something that I agree with. The one thing that I see that she needs to work on is her stride foot. We have been trying to get her stride foot to land a lot closer to 45 degrees, but for some reason she wants to turn...- Ravenstown

Hip Rotation
Using the word "around" (when the ball comes around past her hips) is messing me up. Your DD shouldn't be pitching the ball around her hip. If her hand is going around her hip then that is the reason she is pitching the ball inside to right handed batters. You need to check out the Fastpitch...- Ravenstown
