Ok, its been about 3 weeks since I last posted any video's and we are still plugging away at it. I am posting some updating video from 3/20 to see what the guru's think in regards to any improvements that have been made. We have been trying to concentrate on the back leg not being such an...
The first thing I would tell her is that she should know and understand the situation before she gets into the box. If the pitcher has just walked the previous batter on 4 pitches, then you want her to have the mentality that she currently has to take a pitch until the pitcher throws a strike...
fpCoach, she is a 2000 birth year, 2nd year 12U. She didn't get to pitch last year for her team (3 whole innings). They pitched all 2nd year 12U players who threw harder and were more consistent. The last real opportunity she had to pitch live in games was at 10U and she didn't get much time...
Guys, thanks for all the input. I see a lot of the same things that you do in regards to her foot dragging and the need for her to get up on her toe. This anchor foot has been an issue since the beginning of time for her and hopefully one day the light bulb goes off and we can resolve it once...
One last note, she isn't using the make-shift rubber because it slides when she pushes off. DD and I also know that she does tend to stop her hand on her release/follow through and we are working on that.
Just wanted to post a few video's of my DD and get some suggestions on things to work on. Looking for some constructive criticism in order to improve. Thanks for the replies in advance.

Thanks for the responses so far. They are really constructive and definitely something that I agree with. The one thing that I see that she needs to work on is her stride foot. We have been trying to get her stride foot to land a lot closer to 45 degrees, but for some reason she wants to turn...
10 Yr old DD is still working on her pitching and mechanics. It is getting better, but she still has a lot of work to do. I put together a video of her pitching from the front, back, and side angles and would like some feedback. Looking for some constructive critisism, not a crucification...
Using the word "around" (when the ball comes around past her hips) is messing me up. Your DD shouldn't be pitching the ball around her hip. If her hand is going around her hip then that is the reason she is pitching the ball inside to right handed batters. You need to check out the Fastpitch...
Maybe I stated the issue incorrectly. I don't mean that they should land with a totally locked out stride leg. That would be very hard on the knee. However, I am looking for a method/drill to have them push back when the stride foot hits the ground to help generate arm whip. My observation...
Looking for some advice on pitching and how to fix stride leg problems. The problem I see with a lot of U-10 and U-12 pitchers is that when they pitch they often land their stride leg with a bent knee position as opposed to a firm front side thus eliminating the power they generated in their...
Tojo, that is the type of information and suggestions that I am looking for to help her improve. When you say to open the shoulders a little more when she drives off the rubber, you mean that she should keep her upper body facing more towards third base. We have been working on her left side...
Wow, Sluggers assessment was quite harsh. She turned 10 in late February and she just started pitching in October 2009. So she has been pitching for roughly 8 months. I don't mind the constructive critisism, that is why I don't mind posting video so that I can get feedback. However, I do...
