The Maine Endwell girls HS softball team won the NYS Class A High School Championship this year too. Their coach is Matt Raliegh the dad of the the 3rd baseman on the LL team. &#55357;&#56397;

Base running question

Under ASA rules which is what NYS high schools go by, is there a rule reguarding a batter that walks has to touch the white base or the orange safety base or does it matter? Thank you

Thanks for the ideas, for all the years our kids played sports we just sat back and let the coaches do what they do. Being a "non helicopter parent" this just annoys me. Making him the scorekeeper might work but then again he would be in the dugout then. How will these type of parents handle...

Ya it does look like the TX catcher, after watching the video a couple of times the runner is lucky he didn't get elbowed in the face. And why was he ON the base the ball wasn't on the way. Poor sportsmanship to say the least.

He was callin it equal for both sides and putin the squeeze on for sure. He did seems to loosen up as the night went on, maybe someone talked to him. As far as the elbow the 1b threw he should of been tossed out it looked like it was on purpose for sure. Texas had the last laugh though. If...

Wow does the ump in the Calif and Texas game want more offense or what, the only thing he is giving is right down the middle. The announces keep saying "good pitch" makes it tough on the kids I would think. JMHO

I know he makes the games almost unwatchable. ESPN couldn't of got someone else and let him just comment here and there if they feel the need to have him around. He's almost as bad as Schilling doing the Softball College World Series. SMH

One would have to think they are public records, there are state records in our state with names, schools and grade dates for all sports. Also the names are put in the paper and TV news after the games for all sports so that's any interesting point.

I agree the FOIL would be a good way to get the stats and school records, only if the records exist. I'm not sure why it would be taken personally and the possible blackballing of my DD. If the records were available like a lot of other sports it would be a non issue and girls as well as...

I have a question and I'm not sure if this is the right place for it. Do most high schools have the individual records for their softball program available ? I have asked our AD for them and he said he has stats from when he took over 8 years ago. No records have been kept. Is this common...
