There are many things to consider here. First, where is the pitch? It looks a little low and outside if you guess from his body position, but it's also blurry so to be able to say where it is exactly isn't possible. Speed v Movement
I would have her work first on being able to hit speed pitches. If your hands are quick enough to react to a fastball, whether it be east or west, north or south, on the plate, then you're already in good shape to hit movement pitches.
