In regards to the hover drill.. To much dependency on the the rear leg/hip to control the movements IMO... I want the up front actions to be what causes the rear leg/hip relationship to happen naturally and in sequence.

fyb, for me is the front side provides leverage for the obliques to contract. Her new swing looks forced and not natural, which is expected since this is a new movement attempt..

But like I said earlier lets see some front toss before digging in.
There is one front toss, did u see it

I did but the video was fairly blurry.. Her barrel path looks forced but don't know if maybe she didn't get a good read on the pitch. From the angle she looks like she never gets into a leveraged fyb position.

Next time get a video from the side so we can see the sequence of movements as well as the timing of them.

Do my best, unfortunately I am camera man and front tosser.. lol. I mean, if she's not getting it right off the tee, I would expect front toss wouln't be right either? When you say "for me is the front side provides leverage for the obliques to contract" What do you mean by front side, I want to make sure what I'm talking about when explaining to her

Stretch/contract

The stretch needs to occur while sitting into the legs.

IDK, sometimes I feel like we are making progress.. but then it's right back to the same old issues. Really don't have a good instructor in this area, but maybe I am just doing her more harm.

Sometimes it is best to step back and allow their natural athleticism to make the next step. I try to avoid commenting on young hitters because it just gets too contentious... But there is a lot to like about your DD's swing. Is she perfect? No. But VERY few are. She has a good base to build on.

If you can use a softball field for practice, try playing a game. Give her a bucket of balls. Then stand in a shallow outfield position with a glove. Give her the goal of hitting a line drive over your head. As she starts accomplishing that, slowly take a few steps backwards to make it more difficult for her. Amazing how the body reacts when given that type of goal. Personally, my DD loves to make me chase the ball. Anything to make dad work harder... ;)
