Ken, and you would know this from experience, there are some players that have "it." HJ is one of them. She broke her wrist last year in HS ball and so, didn't play during the summer. She has not received any exposure and so is not on the radar screen for any colleges. I am telling you, she is a top notch type player. Being a Junior, she knows for softball it is getting late. The thing is, she is getting recruited for volleyball and basketball. She is a rare 3 sport athlete who is a star in each sport. Yet, she is so humble. She is also a top tier student.

Man, that is pretty awesome! Sounds like she puts the work in...I would say she's had some pretty good coaches along the way too.

. On a side note, did you by chance teach at Edwardsville High School in the early 90's?

Yes, I am the same guy. I am a little older. I taught and coached at Edwardsville High for 12 years. I was an assistant coach in the baseball program when we won those state titles, 64 games in a row, another 40-0 season and a bunch of real good players who went on to play in college and professionally. Did I have you in class? Did I coach against you as a player? Did I coach you?

Thanks. We have a long way to go but we are going to get there eventually. By next year, I think we will be able to light it up some.

I believe I had you as a teacher. I graduated in 94. At this point I can't remember for the life of me what class it might have been, but I do remember your class being one of the few enjoyable ones lol.
