Well, that was the last sentence of the comment so if you're going to lose someone, that's where you want to do it.

Who btw put forward what is an appropriate punishment for this sort of action.... 10 year ban (later reduced to 6 years).
Not one week. Or a couple of games. 10 years. I remember when this happened the thought was they were lenient.

Hahaha, those rugby players are tough! A little overacting by the ref and the announcers calling it "sensational". But he was out of control!
Some of these umpires like to show their authority. This happened to us three years ago. The umpire screamed at one of our girls and myself as a coach thought it was very inappropriate. What recourse do we have other than to put him in his place. Than plan was to throw a high fastball and the catcher miss it. The catcher would not do it. Some of these umpires must gave been picked on in high school. We show great respect to the umpires but some are just out of hand.
