My daughter swings a xeno and swears by it. We have demo'd about 20 different bats and by far the xeno has been her fav.

In our 10u league, Demarini CF8 -11 is king. 8 of the 12 girls on our team are using this bat. Interestingly enough, in our Rec league this spring, there has been an unprecedented number of over the fence Home Runs, and all were hit by girls using a Demarini CF8 -11.

FWIW

My DD plays on a team with 11 girls. 7 swing Demarini CF8 -11s. 3 have broken their bats - one has broken both her original and replacement bat. Seems like a high number of broken bats...does anyone else see this happening? I'm wondering if it's because the girls really should be swinging -10s. They are all sturdy girls and all use (or used) -11. DD is on the smaller side and she swings a -10 LXT.

Our team is almost exactly the same on cf8 ratio and the number of broken cf8's.

What age group? I've not seen a single broken Cf8 -11 in 10u. I would expect 12u girls to be transitioning to to a -10, depending on their strength.

we are 2nd year 10u but most are smaller players. The 2 bigger girls use xeno's. Rest are demarini and 7 are cf8-11, 1 cf5-11.

Interesting. Yeah, these girls should probably start looking at -10 for next bat, at least after the free bat replacement runs out... :)

DD's team is 1st yr 12U.
Even a small girl can swing a -10...IMO all the girls on her team should have transitioned to a -10 a while ago. DD is the smallest by 25-30 lbs and swings a -10 LXT.

I have a Miken freak black 31-10, cf5 31-10 and a Torq 31-10. She hits much better with the 30-11. By 10-20 feet easy in games. We tried the 31-10 cf5 all last fall and dropped back to the cf8 and has been WAY better. Maybe next fall she will be able to move up.

Certainly hope you know I wasn't saying your DD should be swinging a -10. It is best for girls to swing what works best for them on an individual basis - especially at U10. I was just saying there are small girls who CAN swing a -10. My DD is only 4'11" and 72 lbs. She prefers her -10 to all others. She tried the CF8 -11 and the LXT -11 but the -10 is her bat of choice. The girls on DD's team who are still swinging -11s (and have broken them) are much bigger girls. One of the girls is weighing in around 118. She crushes the ball (and now 2 bats in the past 3 months) to the fence on a regular basis. IMO she should make the transition unless her parents want to continue to purchase new bats every 6 months or so. ;)
