Parents holding kids back a year in school

It gets harder every year..I use to have kickball as an outlet but of late they tell me I cannot play anymore because I kept pulling muscles.

I joined a co-ed softball team a few years back. First at bat, pulled my hammy trying to leg out a weak ground ball to short.

I had to quit, for several reasons. :(

DD is a mid August birthday and was in daycare until kindergarten so she essentially had 3 years of preschool and was more than ready for real school. She was always top of her class and is in grad school at just turned 22.
Size was probably an issue when she was younger but even so, she was a late bloomer and still would have been one of the smaller kids even if we had held her back.
If DS had been the August baby we may have held him back, he definitely wasn’t as ready as she was.
