Heard this today. Learned something new. Does anyone know what this means ?
I've heard "in the river" which I understand as the space between the plate and the chalk line of the batters box.
Yea. He said my daughter was pitching " in the river " today and those were all strikes. I thought it was kinda odd ?
Not odd. He has a wider strike zone.
As a pitcher you want the blue to give you those pitches in the river. Lucky you and DD.
My DD lives on the black and river. When we have a blue that squeezes the zone it's a long day for DD.
Look closely.
