Nationally known catching program The New England Catching Camp will again be returning to the Peach State, partnering with the MVP Training Facility (310 Corder Rd. Warner Robins, GA) to conduct a catching camp and clinics Feb 7th–8th 2015. Jay and Kevin Weaver, the Director and Senior Instructor of the camp, accompanied by additional NECC Staff, will conduct a 2-day (6 total hours of instruction) camp for both baseball and fast pitch softball, ages 8-18, February 21-22, 2015.
We will be offering a couple 2-day, 3-session (2-hrs each session) camp! One for the younger catchers and another for the older catchers. The 6-hour camps will be cumulative and will cover every aspect of the catching position including stances, receiving, blocking, throwing (arm motion and mechanics on throws to the bases) and some fielding skills. Each catcher will be held to a standard that parallels their skill level. Coach
Jay Weaver and his staff will have the ability to challenge the older catchers throughout the weekend with higher velocities (85+ MPH for the guys, 60+ MPH out of a windmill for the girls).
Weekend Camp #1 (8-12 year olds, Baseball and Softball)

Session 1 runs from 8am-10am on Saturday, Feb. 7th (stance, receiving, blocking)
Session 2 runs from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, Feb. 7th (throwing; arm motion and mechanics)
Session 3 runs from 12pm-2pm on Sunday, Feb. 8th (general review of sessions 1&2 and fielding)
Weekend Camp #2 (13-18 year olds Baseball and Softball)

Session 1 runs from 11am-1pm on Saturday, Feb. 7th (stance, receiving, blocking)
