Massey Ratings

I had never heard of the Massey Ratings until they were mentioned in another thread. Interesting site that ranks all teams in all divisions, among other things.

No idea about their methodology, but just for grins, I used the site's "matchup" feature to see how my daughter's reasonably rated DIII school would do against...Florida.

Florida 9, daughter's school 0...100% win probability for Florida, so I can't even pull out the old "So you're saying there's a chance" line. Well, I guess it's a good thing they don't have to play Florida.

When my dd played, I used to do that routinely. It was fun but I wonder as to its reliability. Still, when her school played some other schools that recruited her, her school won as predicted.
